Located in Fujian Province, China, Anxi is one of the three major oolong tea production areas in China, alongside Fenghuang Dancong oolong tea from Chaozhou and Wuyi Mountain in Fujian Province.

Anxi is famous for its Tie Guan Yin, but various other cultivars are also produced, each offering a vivid and memorable flavor.

Anxi is also the hometown of many overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia and Taiwanese people. Through these immigrants, Anxi tea has been introduced to countries worldwide, which is one reason why Tie Guan Yin is recognized as a globally famous tea.
